Challenge Community Services is a proud community partner in the 2024 Susan Roskell Toy Drive.

Help us ensure every child in need receives a gift this Christmas.

As we approach the festive season, we are reaching out to our local community to invite you to be part of something truly special—the 2024 Susan Roskell Toy & Gift Drive, in partnership with Challenge Community Services. This is our first year as a community partner.

Now in its 9th year, this toy drive brings joy to children in foster care and those in need in our community by ensuring they receive a gift at Christmas. However, we cannot achieve this without the support of our generous community.

How You Can Help:

This year, we are primarily seeking financial donations from our community supporters. Your contribution will help us select and purchase gifts that best suit our individual children in Foster Care. Financial donations allow us the flexibility to meet specific needs and ensure that no child is left without a gift. It also assists us to keep freight costs to a minimum.

How can I donate?

Direct Financial Contribution: Donations can be made via bank transfer to your nearest Foster Care Office. Please see the list below for their contact details.
Click & Collect Gift Orders: If preferred, place a click and collect order with Casey’s Toys or Kmart Maitland for a gift and our team will handle the collection. Please see the Toy Drive click and collect details below.
Toys, Gifts and Gift Cards: If preferred you may drop off new toys, gifts and gift cards at one of our Foster Care offices. Please be mindful that we need to arrange freight to the Toy Drive sorting centre in the Hunter. A list of suitable items and ideas can be found below.
Provide your donation by mid-November: To ensure enough time for sorting and delivery to recipients in early December.

To keep our freight costs to a minimum, we encourage Click & Collect orders for collection by our team using the following order labelling details.

Kmart Orders

Visit kmart.com.au to select your items
Choose Maitland NSW 2320 as the Click & Collect store location

Caseys Toys

Casey’s Toys have partnered with the Susan Roskell Toy Drive to make it easier for people to donate, especially those outside the Hunter Region.

To contribute, simply click the button below, visit the platform, and purchase a gift or donate a voucher for us to spend on toys. Casey’s Toys will take care of the delivery.

Please remember to add “Challenge Community” to the reference section of your order form so that we know who to thank!

What type of gifts and toys are suggested?

Brand new toys and gifts
- - Sporting equipment (eg. balls, games)
  - Educational (eg. Books)
  - Play by learn (eg. Lego)
  - Teens (eg. Body wash/beauty/hair packs, socks, hats)
Gift vouchers – especially good for Teens (to go with other items above)
Items that could be purchased via Caseys Toys or at Click and Collect at Kmart with the collection location set to Maitland 2320. This will ensure we keep freight costs to a minimum and enable more donations.
