Nakita is a Behaviour Support Practitioner who started at Challenge in November 2023 in East Maitland. Nakita is known by those around her as bubbly, a little bit goofy, and extremely passionate about bringing joy and happiness to others. Nakita graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2023 with a Bachelor of Psychological Science. In her role she works with young people in out of home care and NDIS clients across the lifespan providing behaviour support interventions and plan development (including restrictive practises) to establish strategies for her clients to assist and manage behaviours. Nakita has a professional background as a disability support worker and has experience working alongside clients who have complex mental and physical disabilities.
Fun fact about Nakita is that she has a pet Rainbow Lorikeet, called Mojo, that she and her partner hand-raised from the age of 6 weeks old.
