Links for Life Disability Expo

The Tamworth Links For Life Disability Expo was established 16 years ago in 2008 with a team of 5 committed individuals and service providers from across the Tamworth area.

The committee has since grown in strength and 25+ services now contribute to the funding, planning and overall success of the event. It has developed into a community-orientated event – with many participants contributing with their skills on the day.

This is an opportunity for stakeholders to explore the diversity of supports available to them in the Tamworth region. It is also an excellent networking opportunity for attending service providers.

After feedback from previous years and careful consideration, we have decided to run a “Quiet Hour” from 1-2pm to assist participants with sensory issues by reducing the sensory overwhelm that comes with attending a large event. We will be asking everyone to support Quiet Hour, as we cease all announcements, dim the lights and ask everyone to turn the volume down.
